Performance Engineer

As a Performance Engineer at our organization based in Pune, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, isolating, and resolving application code issues, along with other technical problems related to hardware, software, infrastructure, and network. You will play a crucial role in implementing and recommending performance improvements on cloud platforms such as GCP and Azure, as well as on-premises for tiered environments. Your primary focus will be on establishing and enabling golden signal for Application Health, building dashboards, identifying and establishing SLAs, setting up alerting, logging, and tracing as required. You will utilize network profiling tools like WireShark and Fiddler when necessary to troubleshoot issues related to applications and scripts. Root cause analysis of production performance issues and recommending fixes to developers will also be a key part of your responsibilities. In this role, you will be required to set up and run automated performance tests using Docker images, build and destroy application/load test infrastructure as needed, and design, script, configure, and run performance tests for Web, Mobile, and API to validate system performance and stability. Your expertise will be crucial in conducting performance analysis, benchmarking, and modeling to identify performance bottlenecks, optimize system parameters, and guide architectural enhancements. Monitoring systems in both production and non-production environments and alerting the core group to prevent issues from occurring will be part of your routine tasks. Additionally, creating and maintaining a Performance Test Strategy, roadmap, Automated Test data creation strategy, and Reporting strategy for the organization will be essential. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology (Computers or related field) or a Master's in Computer Applications. You should have 4 years or more experience in Software Engineering, Performance Engineering, or Performance Testing, with a minimum of 1 year in Performance Engineering or Software Engineering. A strong understanding of Application/OS memory management and tuning databases like MongoDB or other NoSQL databases is required. Experience in conducting Performance tests, working knowledge of Chaos engineering, DevOps tooling, Python, .NET, Angular, and SQL will be advantageous. Knowledge of web technologies such as HTTP, cookies, AJAX, etc., and experience with industry-standard tools like LoadRunner, Neoload, and/or JMeter is a must. Hands-on experience with CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC), as well as familiarity with tools like Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic, DB monitoring tools, and distributed environments like On-Prem, Azure, GCP, or AWS, is highly desirable. Leadership skills, including mentoring, coaching, and training abilities, are important for this role. Strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision are also key attributes we are looking for.
