Job Description

As a Peoplesoft Developer at Apexon, you will be responsible for the following key tasks: - Participating in requirements definition sessions to understand the business objectives and functional requirements, and developing implementable technical designs. You will also research and recommend alternative design solutions where appropriate. - Analyzing requirements, designing and developing prototypes, and working with users/business analysts to fine-tune applications and make recommendations. - Participating in peer/code/design reviews to ensure quality standards and functional/technical requirements are met. You will design, code, test, and implement complex programs, as well as develop appropriate documentation according to IT standards. - Creating test scenarios, developing test plans, and assisting in analyzing testing results throughout the project. - Enhancing existing systems, participating in technical reviews and inspections, and providing support for production systems by resolving problems, optimizing performance, and streamlining processes. - Assisting in coordinating development tasks, providing support to other team members, and assigning work to less experienced team members. - Ensuring proper documentation and on-time delivery of technical artifacts and deliverables, and keeping abreast of new tools, technologies, and functionalities across the application. - Collaborating with work teams, departments, system leadership, staff, other IT groups, and technology vendors to define needs and facilitate solutions. - Providing support, escalation response to production problem issues/errors, root cause analysis, and application resolution. - Providing on-call second-level escalation response for client issues and application problem tickets. - Promoting teamwork, leading by example, initiating a personal training plan, acquiring skills and knowledge, and pursuing an understanding of the organization's business plans and strategies. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred. - 7 years of applicable work experience required, with 5 years of applicable experience in a Healthcare setting preferred. - Expertise with Oracle Peoplesoft v9.x HR and/or Finance/Supply chain application modules. - Expertise with Oracle Peoplesoft PeopleTools 8.5x. - Demonstrated experience with various Peoplesoft tools such as Application Designer, Peoplecode, Application Engine, Component Interface, SQR, Integration Broker, XML Publisher, PS Query, and SQL. - Peoplesoft application performance tuning and SQL tuning experience preferred. - Experience with at least two major Peoplesoft implementations and/or upgrades. - Previous supervisory experience preferred. - Ability to work independently and as a team member, good communication skills, and experience with the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
