Pega Developer

Key Responsibilities
1. Application Design & Development
- Design, develop, and implement
high-quality Pega applications
using Pega PRPC 7.x/8.x. - Build and configure
case types, flows, flow actions, data transforms, activities, sections, harnesses, and UI components
. - Implement
declarative rules, data pages, and decision rules
to meet complex business logic. - Ensure all solutions adhere to
Pega guardrails
, best practices, and reusable framework components.
2. Integration & Enterprise Connectivity
- Design and implement integrations with external systems using
SOAP/REST services, connectors, and services
. - Configure and maintain
authentication profiles, OAuth, and JWT
where needed. - Work closely with integration, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure robust and secure connectivity.
3. Performance, Quality & Compliance
- Conduct
performance tuning
using tools like PAL, Alerts, and log analysis
, and address performance bottlenecks proactively. - Apply
Pega coding standards, guardrails, and review checklists
to maintain code quality. - Participate in
design reviews, code walkthroughs, and technical review sessions
. - Configure and optimize
SLA rules, work delegation, and work party configurations
for efficient case processing.
4. Production Support & Issue Resolution
- Provide
L3/L4 production support
for Pega applications, including incident analysis, defect fixing, and root cause analysis. - Troubleshoot complex issues related to
workflows, integrations, UI, and performance
. - Collaborate with business and operations teams to resolve issues within agreed SLAs.
5. Reporting, Data & DevOps
- Design and manage
Report Definitions
, summaries, and dashboards for business and operational reporting. - Work with
BIX (Business Intelligence Exchange)
for data extraction and offline reporting needs. - Follow
branching strategies, check-ins/check-outs, versioning, and DevOps processes
for Pega application releases. - Collaborate with DevOps teams using tools like
Pega Deployment Manager, Git, Jenkins, JIRA, ServiceNow
for end-to-end delivery lifecycle.
Technical Skills Required
Core Pega Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in
Pega PRPC 7.x/8.x
(minimum 5+ years on Pega). - Solid expertise in:
Case Management, Declarative Rules, Data Pages, Decision Rules
Flows, Flow Actions, Sections, Harnesses, UI rules
Activities, Data Transforms, Clipboard concepts
- Experience with
Pega Integrations

- Connectors and Services
- Good understanding of:
Agents, Job Schedulers, Queue Processors

- Experience in
performance tuning, PAL, alerts, and log analysis

- Exposure to

Pega Mobility, offline rules, and SSO configuration

Desired Candidate Profile
Total Experience:
8–12 years in IT, with 5+ years dedicated to Pega PRPC
.- Successfully worked on
at least 2–3 end-to-end Pega implementations
. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical designs.
- Comfortable working with
cross-functional teams
(BA, QA, Architects, DevOps) in a fast-paced environment. - Good communication skills to interact with clients, onsite teams, and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to
mentor junior Pega developers
and contribute to internal best practices and frameworks.
