Role & responsibilities

Job purpose

In this role, you are responsible to own the Product backlog for one of our applications. You will collaborate with key stakeholders, define and own Product Roadmap that aligns with Program Goals and Product Strategy.

You will lead the product refinement discussions. This is expected to leverage your Pega expertise and our business processes. You are expected to propose solutions that promote reusability and ease of maintenance.

You are expected to oversee one or more product engineering teams consisting of Pega and Dotnet experts, ensuring quality standards are met. Additionally, you will govern the configurational changes made by Citizen Developers through App Studio.

You are also required to manage the application support team (Tier-2), who predominantly focuses on triage, debug and resolution of technical issues related to our applications.

Our applications are used by Global Employer Services member firms and clients; therefore, the successful candidate should possess strong client service and communication skills, as well as the ability to deliver projects on time within a dynamic team environment. The candidate will receive training on existing tools and next-generation technologies.

Key job responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Product Strategy leads, business stakeholders and other product owners to develop and refine the Product Backlog.
• Write and review Acceptance Criteria to ensure business objectives are captured.
• Support the development of Proof of Concepts (POCs) and solutions addressing critical business problems using Pega design principles.
• Govern and review engineered product quality (both functional and technical), by means of review and testing of the product.
• Participate in Demos to evaluate build quality and ensure timely delivery.
• Participate in retrospectives to address key challenges across POD teams.
• Lead/collaborate with cross-functional groups supporting Tier 2 Support.
• Work with BISO/QRM to ensure product meets and maintain compliance standards.
• Govern process Configurations / changes, made by citizen developers through App/Dev Studio, to meet architecture and design guardrails.

Education/Background:

UG: Engineering, Technology or Computer Science

PG: Any

Key skills desired:

10+ years in application development and support. Must have 7+ years experience of working with Pega as a Certified Senior Systems Architect (CSSA) or Lead System Architect (LSA). Certification as Pega Lead System Architect is a plus.

• Proficiency with the latest Pega Features on v8.X, Infinity 23 and 24.
• Familiarity with Pega DX-API’s and Constellation UI.
• Knowledge of Pega test automation kit and Pega deployment Manager.
• Experience with integrations (SOAP, Kafka, REST, JMS Listener, Data Flow, etc.) and exception handling.
• Developing end-to-end applications using Pega Infinity guidelines and proven design patterns.
• Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Hands-on experience with Data pages, Dataflows, Flows, Flow Actions, Views, Activities, SLA, Connectors, Service rules, etc.
• Competence in using Pega App Studio OOTB Capabilities.
• Responsibilities include designing enterprise applications using Pega Infinity andstandards.
• Exposure to debugging and resolving performance issues in Pega (Admin Studio, Key Alerts & Exceptions, PDC/AES).
• Good hands-on experience in Case Management, User Interface, Authentication & Authorization concepts.
• Hands-on with RDMS: MSSQL, PostgreSQL, Aurora DB.

Good to have

• Nice to have knowledge on process AI, Decisioning and Process Mining.
• Nice to have hands on Pega GenAI capabilities like Blueprint.
