As a Pediatrics Intensivist at Mediversal Multi Super Specialty Hospital, you will be responsible for providing specialized care to critically ill infants, children, and adolescents in the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU). Your key responsibilities will include: - Providing expert medical care to critically ill pediatric patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of complex medical conditions. - Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for critically ill children. - Managing advanced respiratory support such as mechanical ventilation, non-invasive ventilation, and life support interventions like ECMO. - Performing and interpreting hemodynamic assessments to guide cardiovascular management in critically ill children. - Conducting and interpreting diagnostic procedures to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment. - Prescribing and administering appropriate medications while closely monitoring their effects and potential adverse reactions. - Communicating effectively with families, providing updates, discussing treatment options, and offering support during challenging times. - Contributing to quality improvement initiatives and research activities to advance pediatric critical care medicine. Qualifications required for this position include: - Medical degree (MD) with specialization in Pediatrics and fellowship training in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine. - Valid license to practice medicine, board certification in Pediatrics, and Pediatric Critical Care Medicine. - Proficient knowledge and clinical expertise in managing critically ill pediatric patients. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Compassion, empathy, and the ability to provide support to families in difficult situations. - Strong decision-making skills and ability to adapt in high-pressure environments. - Commitment to professional development and staying updated with advancements in pediatric critical care medicine. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
