Design Head (PEB)

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Management

• Lead the PEB Design department (structural, connection design, drafting).
• Review and approve design calculations, drawings, and detailing work.
• Coordinate with project execution.

Design & Technical Expertise

• Develop safe, economical, and optimized PEB designs as per IS, MBMA, AISC, and relevant codes.
• Ensure accuracy in load calculations, member design, and connection detailing.
• Drive value engineering to reduce material cost without compromising safety and quality.
• Oversee use of design and detailing software such as STAAD Pro, MBS, Tekla, AutoCAD, etc.

Project Coordination

• Interact with clients, consultants, and architects to understand requirements and provide technical solutions.
• Ensure timely delivery of design outputs in line with project schedules.
• Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues during fabrication and erection stages.

Process & Quality

• Establish design standards, guidelines, and best practices for PEB projects.
• Implement quality checks and audits to ensure error-free outputs.
• Keep abreast of global innovations and apply them to improve competitiveness.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of PEB structural systems, connections, and erection methodology.
• Expertise in design codes: IS 800, IS 875, MBMA, AISC, and international standards.
• Proficiency in design software: STAAD Pro, SAP2000, MBS, Tekla, AutoCAD.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication, client handling, and team management skills.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education:

  B.Tech / M.Tech in Civil / Structural Engineering.

• Experience:

  10 to 20 years in PEB design, with at least 5 years in a leadership/managerial role.
