Job Summary:

The PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) Automobile Technician is responsible for inspecting new Renault vehicles before they are delivered to customers. The technician ensures that each vehicle meets Renault's quality standards and is free of any defects or issues. This role involves conducting various checks, adjustments, and minor repairs to guarantee the optimal condition of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pre-Delivery Inspection:
  • Conduct thorough inspections of new Renault vehicles (e.g., Triber, Kwid, Kiger) to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Check all vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, brakes, lights, and electronics, for proper operation.
  • Inspect the vehicle exterior and interior for any damage or imperfections.
  • Repairs and Adjustments:
  • Perform minor repairs and adjustments, such as tightening bolts, aligning wheels, adjusting fluid levels, and replacing faulty parts as needed.
  • Address any issues found during the inspection process to ensure the vehicle is in perfect condition for delivery.
  • Documentation:
  • Complete all necessary inspection checklists and documentation accurately.
  • Report any major issues or defects found during inspection to the PDI Supervisor.
  • Vehicle Preparation:
  • Ensure vehicles are clean, fueled, and ready for delivery to customers.
  • Install any required accessories or additional equipment as per customer orders.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Adhere to Renault's quality standards and safety protocols throughout the inspection process.
  • Keep up to date with the latest Renault vehicle models and PDI procedures.
  • Communication:
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure a smooth workflow.
  • Provide feedback on recurring issues or areas for improvement in the inspection process.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in automotive technology is preferred.
  • Proven experience as an automobile technician, preferably in a PDI or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems and components.
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
  • A valid driver's license.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed in a service bay or workshop environment.
  • Exposure to vehicle exhaust, chemicals, and other typical automotive shop conditions

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹24,000.00 per month
