Pattern Master

As a Pattern Master, your role involves developing accurate garment patterns, ensuring proper fit, and collaborating with various teams to bring creative concepts to life. You will interpret design sketches and tech packs to create first patterns, ensuring technical accuracy and alignment with design intent, measurements, and fabric properties. Additionally, you will conduct fittings, make adjustments, and finalize patterns for sampling and production. Your responsibilities will also include grading patterns into different sizes, collaborating with teams to resolve production issues, and staying updated on industry trends. Key Responsibilities: - Interpret design sketches/tech packs and create first patterns (manual or digital). - Ensure patterns are technically accurate and aligned with design intent, measurements, and fabric properties. - Conduct fittings, make adjustments, and finalize patterns for sampling and production. - Grade patterns into different sizes as per buyer/brand requirements. - Collaborate with designers, sampling team, and tailors to resolve fit, construction, and production issues. - Maintain records of patterns, revisions, and technical specifications. - Ensure patterns are optimized for fabric utilization and ease of production. - Keep up to date with new pattern-making techniques, CAD software, and industry trends. Qualifications Required: - Diploma/Degree in Fashion Design, Garment Technology, or related field. - Proven experience as a Pattern Master in apparel manufacturing (minimum 3-5 years preferred). - Strong knowledge of garment construction, draping, and fabric behavior. - Proficiency in manual pattern making; CAD knowledge (e.g., Lectra, Gerber, Optitex, TukaCAD) is a plus. - Excellent attention to detail, precision, and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work under tight deadlines and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Preferred Skills: - Experience across multiple product categories (e.g., womenswear, menswear, outerwear, etc.). - Knowledge of international size standards (US, UK, EU, India). - Strong communication and technical documentation skills.
