Patent Drafting

As a Patent Analyst at our client's location in Chennai, you will be part of the patent team at SGRI, Chennai, responsible for protecting the company's innovations. Your role will involve collaborating with the business and R&D team to address patent information needs and enhance the global patent portfolio and strategy. This includes identifying patentable inventions, securing strategic patent assets, offering technical and legal analysis, and providing patent information to internal and external stakeholders. Your contribution will also be crucial in supporting enforcement activities in India. **Key Responsibilities:** - Prepare IP opinions such as patentability, FTO, and invalidity - Provide insightful analysis of search results from various sources - Monitor technology, competition, and geography through patent watches and share insights with R&D and Business - Assist in patent oppositions and offer technical support for enforcement activities by conducting research and analyzing recent cases **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor/Master degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, ECE, Chemical, or Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from reputable academic institutions - In-depth knowledge and experience in search and analytics within a KPO/In-house/Law firm setting with extensive patent datasets spanning 2-10 years - Strong proficiency in patent search databases and analytical tools - Excellent command over the English language (written & verbal) If you possess experience in patent drafting, hold an IPR certification, and have a background in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Physics, M.Sc, or B.Sc, this role as a Patent Analyst could be an exciting opportunity for you.,
