As an Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager in the Paint Engineering Department within the Production Engineering Division, your role will involve various responsibilities related to new plant set-up, process and layout planning, equipment installation and commissioning for paint shop facilities. You will be required to design conveyor systems for new models and upgrade existing equipment in the paint facilities. Additionally, your knowledge of paints, application methods, and associated issues will be crucial. Your key responsibilities will include process planning to ensure efficient material flow and capacity requirements, facility planning and set-up involving equipment specifications, layouts, procurement, installation, and commissioning of various equipment such as Booths, Ovens, PT/ED, and Conveyors. You will also be responsible for designing painting jigs, sealers, wax nozzles, and implementing capacity expansion through bottleneck identification and elimination using Kaizens and cycle time reduction methods. Furthermore, you will need to introduce new technologies to support manufacturing processes in paint shops, identify defects proactively, upgrade existing equipment with the latest technology and energy-efficient solutions, and design fire protection systems in flammable areas of paint shops. Your role will also involve performing basic testing to evaluate paint film properties, utilizing digital mock-ups for concurrent engineering in new models, and designing material circulation systems for low viscous and high viscous materials. In terms of competencies and skills, you are expected to have domain knowledge of manufacturing processes in paint shops, be able to read drawings, judge quality control parameters, and understand technical and commercial requirements for paint shop set-up. Hands-on experience with equipment and plant set-up related to paint shops for two-wheelers and four-wheelers is essential, along with proficiency in software such as Uni-graphics, Auto-cad, Factory-CAD, ED Simulation, and Off-Line robot programming. Moreover, you should possess the ability to communicate specific requirements with suppliers effectively, monitor development processes, and demonstrate strategic thinking, strong execution orientation, and problem-solving skills. Behavioral competencies such as target orientation, communication and presentation skills, flexibility, teamwork, and networking skills are also crucial for success in this role.,

You will be responsible for handling and managing both new and existing shades efficiently. Your role will involve conducting workability trials for new colors and participating in the development of new materials such as PT-ED chemicals, Sealer, PVC, SGC, and Hot wax materials. Additionally, you will be required to operate equipment and troubleshoot any issues that may arise. You will also be involved in upgrading equipment in existing paint shops by incorporating the latest technology and energy-efficient solutions. Furthermore, you will be responsible for analyzing the performance of lab equipment and planning for their upgradation or renewal as needed. It is essential to have a good understanding of paints, their application technology, as well as the ability to identify and address any related issues effectively. Experience in working with painting robots, both online and offline, for body and bumper applications will be advantageous. You should also be capable of addressing any robot and teaching issues that may occur. Moreover, you will be involved in designing low viscous and high viscous material circulation systems to ensure smooth operations. Key Responsibilities Identify and develop new business opportunities by engaging with system integrators, end users, and other relevant stakeholders within the paint application market across India. Manage presales activities such as generating inquiries, negotiating pricing and payment terms, controlling delivery schedules, and overseeing invoicing and collections. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, system integrators, distributors, and partners to foster long-term business growth. Plan and execute sales and promotional activities aligned with company budget and strategic goals. Achieve aggressive annual sales targets in terms of quantity, revenue, and profitability by acquiring new customers and expanding business with existing clients. Act as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring high standards of hospitality and customer service. Demonstrate punctuality, discipline, integrity, and respect in interactions with internal teams, customers, suppliers, and partners. Drive partner development initiatives within the paint industry to expand market reach. Propose innovative sales strategies, promotional tools, and digital marketing initiatives to enhance company presence and sales performance. Qualifications & Experience Minimum 3 years of experience in the paint industry with a strong network and understanding of painting system integrators, paint manufacturers, gun makers, booth makers, and peripheral equipment suppliers. Comprehensive knowledge of painting robots, painting equipment, paint supply systems, and related peripheral technologies. Prior experience in sales, project management, or application management within robotics manufacturers, painting system integrators, or painting equipment makers is highly desirable. Sound understanding of paint quality control and the variables influencing paint application processes. Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
