Painter

Roles Responsible for refinishing, repainting, and polishing vehicle surfaces. Ensure smooth finishing of repaired body parts as per OEM and workshop standards. Work closely with tinkering team and polishers to deliver high-quality results. Maintain workplace safety and proper handling of paints and chemicals. --- Responsibilities 1. Surface Preparation Sand, prime, and mask surfaces before applying paint. Ensure panels are properly cleaned and free from dust, grease, or rust. Fill dents and imperfections with putty and prepare the surface for painting. 2. Painting & Refinishing Mix and match paints accurately to match the vehicle’s original color. Apply primer, basecoat, and clear coat using spray guns and modern tools. Perform spot painting, full panel painting, and touch-ups as required. 3. Quality & Finishing Check for paint defects (runs, orange peel, mismatches) and correct them. Ensure smooth and glossy finish according to OEM standards. Work with polishers to complete final finishing and detailing. 4. Coordination Collaborate with tinkering team to ensure panels are properly repaired before painting. Support service advisors in explaining painting jobs when needed. 5. Safety & Compliance Handle paints, thinners, and chemicals with proper protective equipment (PPE). Maintain spray booth cleanliness and ensure proper ventilation. Follow workshop and OEM painting process guidelines. 6. Record & Reporting Update job cards with painting details and material usage. Report color mismatches or additional requirements to the supervisor.
