Paint Consultant & Technologist (Industrial Paint & Coating)

As a Paint Consultant specializing in Industrial Coatings, your role will involve leading technical support, troubleshooting on-site issues, and optimizing coating performance for clients and internal teams. You will be responsible for evaluating raw materials, in-process batches, and finished industrial coatings to identify defects, performance gaps, and process issues. Additionally, you will recommend improvements in formulation, application parameters, and coating processes across various systems such as Solvent-based, Solvent less, Glassflake, Epoxy, Acrylic, and PU. Key Responsibilities: - Evaluate raw materials, in-process batches, and finished industrial coatings for defects and performance issues. - Recommend improvements in formulation, application parameters, and coating processes. - Conduct detailed coating performance assessments including adhesion, viscosity, curing, and defect analysis. - Guide paint shops on surface preparation, mixing ratios, spray techniques, curing cycles, and troubleshooting. - Prepare technical reports, maintain documentation, and support quality improvement programs. - Collaborate with production, QC, sales, and customers to resolve technical challenges and ensure consistent product performance. - Stay updated with industrial standards, coating technologies, and compliance requirements. Qualifications Required: - Degree in Paint Technology. - 10-15 years of experience in creating formulations for industrial paints and coatings. - Strong understanding of solvent-based and solvent less coating technologies. - Expertise in epoxy, acrylic, and PU systems. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with hands-on testing and troubleshooting experience. - Clear communication skills and ability to support both internal teams and clients. In addition to the above responsibilities and qualifications, the company expects the chosen candidate to have experience of at least 10 years in the Paint and Coatings Industry.
