Paediatrician (MD)
to join our growing medical team. The ideal candidate will be a licensed medical doctor with an MD in Paediatrics and 1-6 years of experience in providing comprehensive medical care to infants, children, and adolescents. This role demands a high level of clinical expertise, empathy, and the ability to communicate effectively with both children and their families.
As a Paediatrician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of illnesses, conducting routine wellness checks, administering immunizations, and providing guidance on proper childhood development, nutrition, and hygiene. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals and specialists to deliver coordinated and holistic care to young patients.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough physical examinations of infants, children, and adolescents to assess growth and development.
- Diagnose and treat various childhood illnesses, infections, and injuries.
- Prescribe appropriate medications and monitor the progress of treatment plans.
- Administer routine vaccinations and educate parents on immunization schedules.
- Monitor developmental milestones and identify potential delays or abnormalities early.
- Guide and counsel families regarding nutrition, hygiene, disease prevention, and general wellness.
- Maintain accurate medical records, including patient histories, treatment plans, and follow-up details.
- Collaborate with other medical specialists and healthcare professionals for complex or chronic cases.
- Handle emergency pediatric cases with competence and care.
- Participate in hospital rounds, outpatient clinics, and on-call duties as required.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- MD in Paediatrics from a recognized medical institution.
- Valid state medical license to practice as a Paediatrician.
- 1 to 6 years of hands-on experience in pediatric care, post-MD qualification.
- Strong clinical skills with the ability to diagnose and treat a wide range of pediatric conditions.
- Excellent communication skills to build trust and effectively communicate with young patients and their families.
- Empathy, patience, and the ability to handle sensitive pediatric cases with care.
- Proficient in the use of electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other healthcare technology.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate with nurses, therapists, and fellow doctors.
- Up-to-date knowledge of the latest advancements and best practices in pediatric medicine.
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience in neonatal care, pediatric emergency care, or subspecialties such as pediatric cardiology or endocrinology is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary hospital environment.
