Job Description

The Packing Supervisor is responsible for supervising and controlling all primary and secondary packing activities for condom manufacturing, ensuring compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, productivity targets, hygiene norms, and safety guidelines.

Key ResponsibilitiesPacking Operations

  • Supervise day-to-day packing operations including primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging.
  • Ensure packing activities are carried out as per approved SOPs, batch packing records, and work instructions.
  • Monitor line clearance, correct labeling, coding, and packaging material usage.
  • Ensure correct packing of condoms as per product specification, customer requirement, and regulatory norms.

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with GMP, ISO 13485, ISO 9001, and applicable medical device regulations.
  • Coordinate with QC/QA for in-process checks, sampling, and release of packed goods.
  • Ensure proper segregation and identification of accepted, rejected, and reworked materials.
  • Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, and contamination-free packing environment.

Documentation & Records

  • Complete and verify batch packing records, daily production reports, rejection reports, and logbooks.
  • Ensure traceability of materials, batch numbers, and expiry dates.
  • Report deviations, non-conformances, and packing discrepancies to management.

Manpower Management

  • Allocate manpower efficiently to meet production and packing targets.
  • Train packing operators on SOPs, safety, hygiene, and quality requirements.
  • Monitor discipline, attendance, and performance of packing staff.

Safety & Housekeeping

  • Ensure adherence to EHS guidelines, PPE usage, and safety procedures.
  • Maintain 5S and good housekeeping practices in the packing area.
  • Prevent mix-ups, cross-contamination, and packing errors.

Coordination & Continuous Improvement

  • Coordinate with production, stores, maintenance, and QA departments.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency and reduce wastage.
  • Support audits (internal, customer, regulatory) and implement corrective actions.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of packing operations in medical device or pharma industry
  • Understanding of GMP, ISO 13485, and hygiene standards
  • Ability to handle manpower and work in shift operations
  • Good documentation and record-keeping skills
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

Qualification & Experience

  • Education: Diploma / Graduate in Science, Engineering, or relevant field
  • Experience: 2–3 years of experience in packing supervision in medical device, pharma, or condom manufacturing industry preferred

Working Conditions

  • Factory / clean-room environment
  • Shift duties (Day/Night)
  • Standing and supervisory role on shop floor

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹23,000.00 per month
