QC Officer

The QC Officer is responsible for monitoring, inspecting, and testing condoms and related materials to ensure compliance with ISO 4074, ISO 13485, GMP, and regulatory standards. The role ensures product safety, consistency, and compliance through systematic inspection, testing, documentation, and coordination with production and QA teams.

Key ResponsibilitiesIncoming Quality Control (IQC)

• Inspect and approve incoming raw materials such as natural rubber latex, lubricants, additives, and packaging materials
• Verify supplier COA, MSDS, and specifications
• Maintain IQC inspection records and material status labeling

In-Process Quality Control (IPQC)

• Monitor critical process parameters including dipping, curing, leaching, drying, rolling, lubrication, and packaging
• Conduct in-process checks for thickness, length, width, weight, and visual defects
• Ensure compliance with approved SOPs and control plans

Finished Goods Quality Control (FGQC)

• Perform final quality inspection and testing of condoms as per ISO 4074 requirements
• Conduct tests such as:
• Freedom from holes (electrical test / water leak test)
• Air burst volume and pressure
• Dimensions (length, width, thickness)
• Packaging integrity and labeling accuracy
• Approve or reject finished batches prior to release

Testing Equipment & Calibration

• Operate and maintain testing equipment including electronic pinhole testers, air burst testers, and thickness gauges
• Ensure testing instruments are calibrated and records are maintained

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain accurate QC records, test reports, batch inspection records, and logbooks
• Review Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR) and Batch Packing Records (BPR)
• Ensure compliance with ISO 13485, ISO 4074, GMP, and regulatory guidelines
• Support internal audits, external audits, and regulatory inspections

Non-Conformance & CAPA

• Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) for deviations and rejected batches
• Support root cause analysis and implementation of CAPA
• Monitor effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions

Hygiene, Safety & GMP

• Ensure adherence to hygiene, cleanroom, and safety requirements
• Monitor personnel practices and environmental conditions in production areas

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Polymer Science, Rubber Technology, or Biomedical / Chemical Engineering
• Diploma or certification in Quality Management or GMP is an added advantage

Experience Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in QC within condom manufacturing, rubber/latex products, medical devices, or pharmaceutical industry
• Freshers with relevant training and internship exposure may be considered

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of ISO 4074, ISO 13485, and GMP
• Understanding of rubber/latex processing and defect analysis
• Proficiency in QC documentation and testing procedures
• Attention to detail and analytical mindset
• Ability to work in shifts and factory environments
• Basic computer skills (MS Excel, ERP, QMS systems)

Working Conditions

• Factory-based role with shift duties(Day/Night shift)
• Strict adherence to hygiene and GMP practices

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
