Key Responsibilities: - Conduct inspections of machinery and packaged equipment to verify compliance with design specifications and quality standards. - Review inspection and test plans to ensure they align with contractual and regulatory requirements. - Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to address any quality-related concerns. - Prepare detailed inspection reports and documentation for review and approval. - Monitor the performance of vendors and suppliers, performing audits as necessary. - Participate in project meetings and provide updates on inspection activities and findings. - Perform root cause analysis for non-conformities and track corrective actions. - Ensure adherence to safety protocols and promote a culture of safety within the team. Skills and Tools Required: - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. - Strong knowledge of quality assurance principles and inspection techniques. - Familiarity with industry standards such as ASME, API, and ISO. - Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment, such as calipers, gauges, and ultrasonic testing devices. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. - Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment. - Proficiency in using software tools for documentation and reporting, such as Microsoft Office Suite and project management software. - Certification in Quality Control or relevant inspection certifications (e.g., AWS, NACE, or similar) is a plus.
