*Job Summary:

The Operation Theater Technical Specialist for the ENT department is a skilled professional who provides crucial technical support to surgical teams, with a focus on surgical scrubbing for ear, nose, and throat procedures. This role is vital for ensuring a safe, sterile, and efficient operating environment.

Responsibilities

* Surgical Scrubbing (ENT): Prepare and set up the sterile field with all necessary ENT-specific instruments and supplies, including microscopes, endoscopes, and specialized suction devices.

* Instrument Management: Accurately and quickly pass ENT surgical instruments, such as forceps, speculums, and various dissectors, to the surgeon and assistants.

* Sterile Environment Maintenance: Continuously monitor the sterile field to prevent contamination, ensuring the surgical team follows strict aseptic techniques specific to ENT procedures.

* Equipment Preparation: Assist in the setup and testing of specialized ENT surgical equipment and machinery, including surgical drills, lasers, and navigation systems, before a procedure.

* Inventory Control: Manage and track all surgical instruments and supplies used, performing a final count to ensure everything is accounted for.

* Patient Safety: Actively participate in all pre-operative safety checks, including the "time-out", to confirm the correct patient, procedure, and surgical site.

* Post-Procedure Duties: Help with the cleanup and decontamination of the operating room and prepare instruments for sterilization.

Qualifications

* Experience: Proven experience in surgical scrubbing, with specific knowledge of ENT surgical instruments and procedures.

* Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of ENT surgical instruments, sterilization protocols, and aseptic techniques.

* Education: A diploma or certificate in Surgical Technology by Telangana government is highly desirable.

* Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail, the ability to perform well under pressure, excellent teamwork, and strong communication skills.

* Certifications: Must hold a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by government of Telangana
