*Job Summary:*

We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to support our pharmacy team. The successful candidate will assist the pharmacists with dispensing medications, managing inventory, and providing excellent customer service. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

*Key Responsibilities:*

1. *Dispense Medications:*

- Accurately retrieve, count, and package medications for patients.

- Ensure medications are labeled correctly and delivered to the appropriate patients.

2. *Inventory Management:*

- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and restocking medications and supplies.

- Rotate stock to ensure medications are used before expiration.

3. *Customer Service:*

- Provide friendly and professional service to patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.

- Answer patient inquiries about medication pickup times, availability, and basic medication information.

4. *Administrative Tasks:*

- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to medication dispensing.

- Assist with billing and insurance claims as required.

5. *Compliance and Safety:*

- Follow all pharmacy policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

*Requirements:*

- Diploma or certificate in pharmacy assistance or a related field.

- Previous experience in a pharmacy setting is preferred.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Excellent communication and customer service skills.

- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

- Familiarity with pharmacy software and systems is an asset.
