We are seeking a highly motivated Infrastructure Engineer to design, build and maintain automation processes for operating system provisioning and lifecycle management.

The selected candidate will play a key role in driving infrastructure self-service capabilities, establishing standards and implementing best practices that improve efficiency and reliability across our IT environment.

Role & responsibilities

1. Implements and maintain Enterprise systems that support systems such as Application,

RHEL cluster and Oracle Database servers hosted on RHEL platform or Windows platform

2. Defines and maintain workflows to support the builds of the x86_64 infrastructure that

support a specific application architecture

3. Supports the planning, implementation, and upgrade of YUM packages.

4. Plan and implement OS-level updates, patches, and security hardening.

5. Automate routine tasks using shell scripting, PowerShell, or Ansible.

6. Proactively manages system resources to assure maximum system performance

and appropriate additional capacity for peak periods and growth.

7. Plans, configures and implements features on the x86_64 platform that improve

availability, response time, and monitoring of key system metrics.

8. Provides support to the user community using incident and problem management tools.

9. Understanding of virtualization and containerization (VMware, KVM, Docker, Kubernetes).

10. Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.

11. Must be able to provide 24 x 7 on-call support based on a rotational schedule.

12. Periodic off-hours work required including weekends and holidays.
