Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, support, and optimize our Oracle database environments.

The Oracle DBA will be responsible for ensuring the availability, reliability, performance, and security of mission-critical databases.

The role involves installation, configuration, upgrades, performance tuning, backup & recovery, monitoring, and working closely with developers, infrastructure, and application teams.

Role & responsibilities

  • Hands-on experience in Oracle (10g/11g/12c/19c) Database Administration & Performance Tuning on Non Exadata and Exadata Platforms.
  • Proficient in applying CPU, PSU & DBRU patches on Oracle 8i and later versions for proactive maintenance.
  • Skilled in installing and upgrading Oracle 10g/11g/12c/19c Standalone & RAC databases to higher versions across multiple platforms (Linux, SPARC).
  • Skilled in Configuring Oracle Dataguard and maintain it.
  • Hands-on experience in Oracle Goldengate Replication.
  • Experienced in managing and supporting PROD and DEV environments of Oracle 12c/19c, RAC, and ASM.
  • Expertise in configuring Oracle clients with Oracle servers.
  • Proficient in creating and managing primary database structures such as Tablespaces, Datafiles, and more.
  • Skilled in creating and managing Schema Objects.
  • Experience in creating and maintaining permanent and temporary Tablespaces.
  • Expertise in managing Control Files, Redo Log Files, and Transportable Tablespaces.
  • Proficient in managing Roles, Privileges, and Temporary Tables.
  • Strong knowledge in user management, security, and auditing.
  • Skilled in using Oracle Utilities for Data Transfer, Data Maintenance, and Administration.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Flashback Technology & using SQL*Loader.
  • Experience in Oracle DB Cloning across different servers.
  • Skilled in backup and recovery using Recovery Manager (RMAN).
  • Proficient in monitoring and managing database access while ensuring security.
  • Expertise in Oracle Alert Logs, Trace Files, and Event monitoring.
  • Strong knowledge of database performance tuning.
  • Experience in designing databases and deploying mission-critical applications.
  • Skilled in capacity planning for large-scale production databases.
  • Hands-on experience with various database recovery scenarios.
  • Expertise in database performance monitoring and parameter tuning.
