Job Description

Role Overview: You will be working as an Associate in the Operational Risk Management (ORM) department within the Chief Risk Office division at the Mumbai Risk Centre. The department serves as the Second Line of Defence function and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of non-financial risk (NFR), including risk identification, assessment, control framework, risk appetite, and scenario analysis. Your role will be part of the newly formed New Business Office, focusing on governing risk identification, analysis, management, and approval for new business, products, initiatives, and major change projects. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in the day-to-day management and escalation of issues within the risk management and approval processes, including approval of new business, products, initiatives, and transformation risk. - Support Post Implementation Reviews. - Aid the New Business Office in understanding the strategic pipeline for conducting appropriate risk assessments and approvals before Go-Live, including designing processes for capturing and reporting the pipeline. - Ensure the correct level of scrutiny is achieved based on the risk profile impact. - Contribute to the preparation and finalization of the New Product Forum deck. - Provide input and support to the NBO Future State program as needed. - Respond to regulatory and audit requirements as necessary. - Collaborate with colleagues in the Framework & Audit and Control Execution Offices. - Proactively engage with diverse groups of stakeholders and be willing to take on new tasks within the team. Qualifications Required: - 3-5 years of experience in business, finance, risk management, consulting, or a similar role within financial services. - Comprehensive understanding of transactions, financial products, infrastructure, and controls in a Tier 1 investment bank. - Proactive with the ability to manage competing priorities and willingness to take on new tasks. - Strong partnership-building skills with all business and infrastructure functions. - Ability to work proactively across diverse stakeholder groups and quickly establish strong working relationships. - Capacity to grasp complex concepts and communicate them effectively. - Experience with audit queries or regulatory requirements is advantageous. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Team player, motivated, and able to handle pressure and tight deadlines.
