Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Customization & Development:

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain Oracle EBS modules, including Financials, SCM, HRMS, and others as required.
  • Work on Forms, Reports, PL/SQL, Oracle Workflow, OAF (Oracle Application Framework), and XML Publisher.
  • Lead the development of custom components like interfaces, extensions, reports, and forms using Oracle development tools.
  • Integration:

  • Design and implement integrations between Oracle applications and other enterprise systems using APIs, web services, and Oracle SOA Suite.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues and ensure seamless data flow across systems.
  • Technical Documentation:

  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test cases, and technical solution diagrams.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and document version control.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:

  • Collaborate closely with functional consultants, business users, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Provide regular status updates and communicate risks or issues to the project management team.
  • Performance Tuning & Troubleshooting:

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance of Oracle EBS applications, custom code, and database performance.
  • Resolve complex technical issues, providing timely solutions to production support and business-critical problems.
  • Upgrades & Migrations:

  • Lead Oracle EBS upgrades, patch applications, and data migrations.
  • Ensure minimal disruption to business operations during upgrades and migrations.
  • Team Management:

  • Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure coding standards and best practices are followed.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Technical Expertise:

  • Strong knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite architecture and modules (e.g., Financials, SCM, HRMS).
  • Proficiency in PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, Workflow, OAF, XML Publisher, and UNIX scripting.
  • Experience with Oracle SOA Suite, Web Services, and APIs for integrations.
  • Development Tools:

  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF), Oracle Forms/Reports, Oracle Workflow, and BI Publisher.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) is a plus.
  • Performance Tuning & Troubleshooting:

  • Strong debugging and performance-tuning skills in both Oracle EBS and Oracle databases.
  • Database Management:

  • Knowledge of Oracle RDBMS, SQL tuning, data modeling, and database performance optimization.
