An Oracle Functional SCM (Supply Chain Management) and Manufacturing Consultant with 5 to 9 years of experience should have an extensive skill set, including both technical expertise and functional knowledge. Here's an overview of the key skills required:
Oracle SCM Cloud & Oracle EBS (R12): Comprehensive knowledge of both Oracle Supply Chain Cloud and Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) with experience in implementation, customization, and support. Oracle Fusion will be add on.
Supply Chain Modules: Inventory, Purchasing, Order Management, Procurement, Shipping Execution, and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
Manufacturing Modules: Discrete, Process, and Flow Manufacturing, Bill of Materials (BOM), Work in Process (WIP), Material Requirements Planning (MRP), and Advanced Supply Chain Planning (ASCP).
End-to-End Process Understanding: Deep understanding of business processes in supply chain and manufacturing, including demand planning, sourcing, procurement, production planning, scheduling, inventory control, and logistics.
Requirement Gathering & Solution Design: Ability to interact with stakeholders to gather business requirements, design solutions, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Business Process Reengineering (BPR): Experience in analyzing current processes and suggesting improvements to optimize supply chain and manufacturing operations.
Fit-Gap Analysis & Solution Mapping: Expertise in performing gap analysis between business requirements and Oracle SCM/manufacturing capabilities, followed by solution design and configuration.
Full Life Cycle Implementation: Experience with multiple full life cycle implementations (end-to-end) in Oracle SCM/Manufacturing from requirements gathering to go-live and post-production support.
System Configuration & Setup: Proficiency in configuring Oracle modules, including setting up master data, defining work centers, bill of materials, routings, and process flows.
Customizations & Extensions: Ability to guide technical teams on customizations, integrations, and reports development using Oracle's tools like Oracle Forms, Reports, and BI Publisher.
Project Management Methodologies: Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and methodologies, including project scoping, planning, resource allocation, and delivery.
Team Leadership: Experience leading teams, managing project timelines, and working closely with technical and functional teams for successful project delivery.
Client Management: Ability to manage client relationships, understand business challenges, and deliver value through solution optimization.
Manufacturing & Supply Chain Industries: In-depth knowledge of various industries (e.g., automotive, electronics, consumer goods, pharmaceuticals) with hands-on experience in specific industry scenarios.
Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements, ensuring the Oracle solution adheres to them.
SQL/PLSQL: Basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL/PLSQL for querying databases, performing data analysis, and understanding how to troubleshoot technical issues.
Integration & Interfaces: Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and Oracle SOA for integrating Oracle SCM/Manufacturing with third-party systems.
Data Migration: Experience with data migration strategies and tools for importing data into Oracle systems from legacy platforms.
Communication & Presentation: Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with stakeholders, conducting presentations, and delivering training.
Analytical Thinking: Problem-solving skills for addressing complex supply chain and manufacturing challenges with Oracle solutions.
Adaptability: Ability to adapt to evolving business needs, emerging technologies, and changing project environments.
Oracle Certifications: Relevant Oracle certifications in SCM Cloud and EBS Manufacturing are advantageous (e.g., Oracle Supply Chain Management Cloud Implementation Specialist).
Multi-Country Implementations: Experience in managing global Oracle implementations across multiple geographies, understanding localization, taxation, and compliance needs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work with cross-functional teams, including finance, logistics, procurement, and manufacturing.
