Job Description

We are seeking a skilled

Oracle DBA / RDBMS Specialist

with extensive experience in

Oracle Database administration, upgrades, and performance tuning

. The candidate will support databases from

11g to 19c

, handle day-to-day operations, and collaborate with application teams to optimize performance. Knowledge of

SQL Server

is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

Perform
Oracle Database upgrades
to 19c and resolve post-upgrade performance issues related to the new optimizer.
Support
day-to-day database administration
tasks: RMAN cloning, patching, tablespace maintenance, and user management.
Monitor and
tune database performance
, working closely with application teams to optimize queries and code.
Manage
backup and recovery procedures
using RMAN.
Handle database tickets and incidents using
ServiceNow
.
Work with
SQL Developer, Putty
, and related database tools for administration and troubleshooting.
Participate in
database deployment, migration, and patching activities
.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Extensive experience with
Oracle Database 11g to 19c
, including upgrades and post-upgrade performance tuning.
Strong
performance tuning
expertise at the database level.
Hands-on experience with
RMAN, tablespaces, user management, and patching
.
Familiarity with
ticketing tools (ServiceNow)
and database client tools (SQL Developer, Putty).
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in collaboration with application and infrastructure teams.

Preferred Skills / Good to Have

Knowledge of
SQL Server
administration.
Experience in
industrial domain database operations
.
