Experience / Qualifications Oracle Database experience on Linux and Windows platforms Hands-on knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL Experience with RMAN for backup and recovery Strong knowledge of Oracle RAC and Data Guard Goldengate expertise is mandatory Experience in Data Engineering: Data loading into Oracle Database Data validation and verification Database refresh tasks Knowledge of at least two open-source databases such as: MySQL, Hadoop, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra Experience with: Backup, High Availability (HA), and Disaster Recovery (DR) Linux and Windows OS Understanding of: Storage and networking best practices TCP/IP ports (advantageous) Familiarity with ITIL processes (certification is a plus) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to perform well under pressure Responsibilities Perform all DBA activities to ensure high database uptime Understand application flow and troubleshoot DB performance issues Implement database security best practices Follow change management and organization processes Collaborate with team members to meet internal/external service requirements Ensure consistent documentation standards Work effectively as a team member and contribute to decision-making Participate actively in ongoing tasks and explore future tech opportunities Certifications Oracle certifications preferred
