Key Responsibilities

• Database Administration

• Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle Database 12c and related tools.
• Manage database instances, schemas, tablespaces, and storage structures.

• Performance & Optimization

• Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies (SQL tuning, indexing, optimizer hints).
• Analyze AWR/ASH reports and resolve bottlenecks.

• Backup & Recovery

• Implement and manage

  RMAN

  backups, restore, and recovery strategies.
• Configure and maintain

  Data Guard

  for disaster recovery.

• Security & Compliance

• Apply patches, manage user roles, privileges, and enforce security policies.
• Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

• High Availability

• Configure and maintain

  RAC (Real Application Clusters)

  and

  ASM (Automatic Storage Management)

  .
• Implement failover and clustering solutions.

• Automation & Scripting

• Develop and maintain scripts for monitoring, backups, and routine tasks using

  Shell/PL-SQL

  .

• Troubleshooting

• Diagnose and resolve database-related issues in development, test, and production environments.

• Collaboration

• Work closely with application teams for schema design, query optimization, and deployment support.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA with strong expertise in

  Oracle 12c

  .
• Hands-on experience with:

• RMAN

  ,

  Data Guard

  ,

  RAC

  ,

  ASM

  ,

  OEM (Oracle Enterprise Manager)

  .
• Performance tuning and query optimization.
• Strong knowledge of

  PL/SQL

  ,

  Shell scripting

  , and Linux/Unix environments.
• Experience with

  backup/recovery strategies

  and disaster recovery planning.
• Familiarity with

  patching

  ,

  upgrades

  , and

  migration

  processes.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to

  Oracle 19c

  or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Knowledge of

  GoldenGate

  for replication.
• Experience with

  Exadata

  or other engineered systems.
• Certifications:

  Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)

  for DBA.
