Role Overview: As an Optics Senior Engineer at Valeo India Private Limited, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and validation of advanced optical systems. This role requires a strong foundation in optical and mechanical engineering principles, along with expertise in CAD and simulation tools. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the conceptualization, design, and development of complex optical systems and components for various automotive applications. - Conduct detailed optical design and analysis using industry-standard software to ensure performance meets stringent specifications. - Perform mechanical design and integration of optical modules, considering factors such as thermal management, vibration, and environmental sealing. - Develop and execute comprehensive design validation plans, including test methods and data analysis, to ensure product robustness and reliability. - Utilize Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for detailed modeling, assembly, and drafting of optical and mechanical components. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product integration and performance optimization. - Conduct simulations (e.g., optical, thermal, mechanical) to predict performance and optimize designs prior to physical prototyping. - Apply precision engineering principles to achieve tight tolerances and high-performance optical systems. - Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering design processes and methodologies. - Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance within the optics and mechanical design teams. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Optical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related Engineering Discipline. - Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in Optical Design and Optical Engineering, preferably within the automotive industry. - Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo. - Demonstrated expertise in Mechanical Design, Design Validations, and testing methodologies. - Strong background in Simulation Design for optical and/or mechanical systems. - In-depth understanding of Precision Engineering techniques and manufacturing processes. - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills.,
