The Optician is responsible for assisting patients in selecting suitable eyewear, interpreting prescriptions from eye care professionals, taking accurate measurements, and ensuring proper fit and comfort of glasses or contact lenses. They also perform minor repairs and adjustments and educate patients about proper eyewear care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist customers in selecting frames and lenses based on style, fit, and prescription requirements.
• Interpret and analyze optical prescriptions provided by the optometrist or ophthalmologist.
• Take accurate measurements of pupillary distance (PD), optical center, and frame fitting.
• Order, fit, and dispense eyeglasses and contact lenses.
• Perform minor repairs, adjustments, and fittings of eyewear.
• Educate customers on eyewear care, usage, and maintenance.
• Maintain inventory of frames, lenses, and optical accessories.
• Ensure high standards of customer service and professionalism.
• Coordinate with optometrists and ophthalmologists regarding prescriptions and patient needs.
• Manage billing, insurance processing, and sales transactions if required.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Diploma or certification in Opticianry or Optical Dispensing.
• Previous experience in optical retail or clinic preferred.
• Strong knowledge of optical products, lenses, and frame styles.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Familiarity with optical equipment and measurement tools.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
