OPT Recruiter

An OPT recruiter is responsible for sourcing, screening, and placing international students on Optional Practical Training (OPT) visas into suitable job roles, ensuring they meet employer requirements while also navigating the complexities of OPT regulations, including managing documentation, providing career guidance, and maintaining compliance with immigration laws

Key responsibilities of an OPT recruiter include:

• Understanding OPT regulations:Thorough knowledge of OPT guidelines, eligibility criteria, work authorization limitations, and potential restrictions for different fields of study.
• Candidate sourcing:Actively seeking out qualified OPT candidates through various channels like job boards, university career centers, professional networks, and online communities.
• Candidate screening:Reviewing resumes and conducting initial interviews to assess candidates' skills, experience, and suitability for specific roles.
• Employer engagement:Building relationships with companies looking to hire OPT candidates, understanding their hiring needs, and presenting qualified candidates.
• Documentation support:Assisting candidates with the OPT application process, including gathering necessary documents, ensuring proper completion of forms, and guiding them through the legal requirements.
• Career counseling:Providing career advice to OPT candidates regarding job search strategies, resume writing, interview preparation, and salary negotiation.
• Compliance management:Monitoring candidate eligibility, ensuring compliance with OPT rules, and addressing any potential issues related to work authorization.
