Job Description

Title: Senior Automation Engineer

Location: Kolkata(5 days' work from office)

Mode: Permanent with Nexucon

Senior Automation Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks for web, mobile, and API testing.
Collaborate with developers, QA analysts, and product teams to define testing strategies and ensure high-quality software releases.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for seamless and reliable deployments.
Analyze test results, identify defects, and provide clear documentation and reports.
Mentor junior team members and contribute to continuous process improvements.

Required Qualifications

Education:
Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
6–9+ years in software testing, with
minimum 3 years in test automation
.
Strong programming/scripting skills in
Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or C#
.
Hands-on experience with automation tools/frameworks such as
Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright, Appium
, etc.
Proficiency in
API testing
using tools like
Postman, REST Assured, or SoapUI
.
Solid understanding of
software testing methodologies, SDLC, and STLC
.
Experience with
version control systems
(Git, GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket).
Familiarity with
continuous integration tools
(Jenkins, CircleCI, GitHub Actions).
Certification:
ISTQB or equivalent QA certification is
mandatory
.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
