Job Description

As an Operations Manager (Procurement) at Maier Vidorno Altios, you will play a crucial role in overseeing all operational aspects of the company. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure total customer satisfaction by focusing on service-oriented key performance indicators. You will lead, mentor, and develop team members within the Operations Team while also managing the infrastructure, maintenance of the building and contents, IT, safety, and export processes. To excel in this role, you should have a commercial/business degree and/or a technical qualification along with at least 5 years of working experience. Fluency in English and the local language is essential to effectively communicate with stakeholders. Your main responsibilities will include managing all aspects of the supply chain, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing necessary actions to meet and exceed targets. You will be responsible for responding to customer inquiries promptly, raising purchase orders to meet customer requirements, and maintaining appropriate stock levels. Additionally, you will ensure efficient handling of goods, manage the export program, and oversee the manufacturing process to ensure precise and efficient functioning. As a part of the Management Team, you will prepare reports for the Balanced Scorecard, manage Operations Team members, and ensure company quality requirements are met. You will also be involved in building maintenance, local IT implementation, safety program management, and developing strong relationships with suppliers. To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate a customer-oriented approach with a detailed understanding of commercial and logistical aspects. You should possess qualities such as reliability, independence, proactiveness, and strong leadership skills. Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to identify improvement ideas are key attributes required for this position. Experience in Operations, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Quality, IT, Export, and Manufacturing Management is essential. Proficiency in IT administrative tasks and software knowledge including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, ERP systems (Oracle), and CRM systems (Salesforce) is also necessary. Occasional overseas travel may be required to visit headquarters in Switzerland or sister sales companies and suppliers.
