Role Description

  • The Operations Lead will be a part of the TSCO Branch Operations team. This division is dynamic and multifaceted, collaborating closely with key stakeholders such as Business, Finance, Compliance, and Technology. The team's aim is to process daily pre- and post-settlement activities, both manually and through Straight Through Processing (STP). Primary responsibilities include ensuring timely matching of trade confirmations, executing trade settlements, managing cash transfers to clients and banks, and reconciling ledgers for incoming and outgoing funds. The scope of operations covers Foreign Exchange (FX), Money Market (MM), and Derivative Transactions. The team is expected to have a strong grasp of product fundamentals, underlying financial instruments, and the overarching business strategy. The Operations Lead is tasked with upholding a controlled operational environment, meeting key performance indicators (KPIs), and guaranteeing that all deliverables adhere to agreed-upon standards. Effective management of both human and technological resources is essential to mitigate operational risk and fulfil business requirements promptly. The role also involves navigating market-driven flows, understanding evolving client and market needs, and guiding the team to adapt accordingly for successful delivery. Additional duties include cross-training, succession planning, preparing management reports, contributing to departmental initiatives, and collaborating with various departments to ensure the timely and accurate completion of all activities within established deadlines.

Your key responsibilities

  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of RBI, FIMMDA, FBIL, FEDAI, CCIL, and SEBI regulations, as well as operational guidelines and circulars related to FX, MM, and Derivative operations.

  • Conduct risk and control self-assessments across FX, MM, and Derivative operations to strengthen the control environment, mitigate operational risk, and enhance governance.

  • Periodically review and update critical Key Operating Documents (KOD), task lists, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) design, and treasury operation flows, embedding controls and ensuring alignment with regulatory standards.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to implement automation and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) initiatives, driving significant improvements in Straight Through Processing (STP).

  • Lead regulatory audit readiness and support remediation for Group Audit, Concurrent Audit, Compliance Audit, and Statutory Audit requirements.

  • Possess comprehensive understanding of the trade life cycle for FX, MM and Derivative products, including CCIL and regulatory reporting to ensure compliance with RBI, FEDAI, FIMMDA, FBIL, and SEBI guidelines.

  • Mentor team members to promote a culture of compliance, efficiency, and continuous improvement, aligning with the organization's values and vision.

Your skills and experience

Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree from a recognized university.

  • Minimum of 10 years in FX, MM, and Derivative Operations.

Skills

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.

  • Strong understanding of regulations applicable to operations of FX, MM and Derivative transactions.

  • Proficient in MS Office.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Initiative and stakeholder coordination capabilities.
