II.

To Provide support to Surgeons /Anesthetist and to assist the Surgeon in performing well in the OT.

III. KEY RESPONSBILITIES

Core Responsibilities

Set up OT and equipment prior to each procedure and also to check their functioning.
Prepare and position the patient for operation & orientation of patient to OT.
Assist with post operation monitoring of the patient before shifting the patient to ICU or ward.
Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning including quality control and calibration.
Maintain safe work practices with respect to infection control and radiation safety.
Provide technical guidance, assistance and instruction to employees; train new personnel.
To ensure all surgical instruments are washed cleaned and packed properly before sending them to CSSD.
To maintain liaison with CSSD to ensure availability of sterile instrument sets and linen.
To attend to emergencies during and after working hours.

IV. Measurable

Consistently generates accurate results.
Optimal utilization of equipment and material resources.
Minimum downtime of all equipment in the O.T
