Role & responsibilities

• Supervising the proper functioning of OT.
• OT Scheduling with coordination of surgeon coordinator, chief anesthetics & nursing in charge of OT
• Maintaining cleanliness in OT complex and following infection control protocol as per the hospital manual.
• Looking after proper functioning of all the equipment inside OT complex.
• Proper maintenance & timely annual Maintenance according to contract of all equipment.
• Keeping record of equipment failure, movement of equipment in and out of OT (e.g. equip. sent to Bio Medical Department (BMD).
• OT fogging & thorough cleaning & OT maintenance as per the protocol
• Supervision of Duty Roster.
• Emergency cupboard for Drugs and disposables to be checked regularly and items to be replenished as and when required as per NABH & JCI Protocol.
• Improving knowledge and skills by attending educational activities of the hospital from time to time.
• Working towards achieving harmonious relationship among seniors and other staff and enforcing discipline among them.
• Act as a Contact point for discussion/reference of all the discrepancies, queries & Problems related to management of the departments.
• Preparing MIS & Manual report(s) for hospital Management regarding surgeries, admissions discharge customer/patient surgery trend, departmental performance, mortality etc.
• Prepare monthly financial Reports on Earnings and Expenditures.
• Identifying and implementing cost containment strategies
• Calculate & document consumption of consumables in package Case
• Daily Business Reporting (DBT) on key parameters.
• Promotes positive employee relations including effective delegation of managerial duties, fostering high staff morale, upholding operational standards, and execution of the performance management process
• Monitoring anesthesia side machines, consumables, medicines, equipments. Keeping record of fixed asset for their daily, monthly & annual maintenance and coordination with biomedical & engineering departments.
