Opening For EMO With Gleneagles Hospitals Parel, Mumbai

Main Objective of the Role :

Participation in the Primary medical care of the patients at Gleneagles Hospital, Mumbai. Preferably in ER / clinical specialties

Skills:

1. Knowledge of and proficiency of principles, practices, ward procedures and current trends in medical practice.

2. Knowledge of and adherence to policies, procedures and systems in the hospital

4. Knowledge of and adherence to standard precautions and aseptic techniques in all areas of the hospital.

5. Coordinate patient care activities with the consultants, colleagues, other team members and other departments as necessary.

6. Good interpersonal skills

7. Coordinate patients investigations with other departments e.g. taking appointments, tracking and procuring the reports of investigations done.

8. Counseling the patient regarding procedures to be performed if any, need for a particular investigation or form of treatment.

9. Knowledge of, and proficiency in all procedures specific to specialty.

Abilities Needed:

1. Medical knowledge, computer literacy and proficiency.

2. Ability to converse clearly and politely with consultants, patients, relatives and colleagues.

3. Maintain and update professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, CMEs and clinical meetings.

Job Activities :

1. Examination of a new patient promptly by taking history and doing physical assessment in details and recording the same.

2. Initiating and completing all documentation related to the history and assessment (Emergency Room)

3. Communicating with the consultant, taking instructions regarding investigation to be done and plan of care.

4. Inform the consultant about the reports of the investigations ordered and follow all further orders if any.

5. Triaging of patients coming to ER and initiating treatment as ordered by consultant

6. In case of a referral advised, appropriate reference should be made.

7. Coordinating with other departments for emergency investigations / procedures / surgeries and booking of OTs or Cath labs as per need.

8. To perform any additional tasks as per hospital policy.

9. Coordination of MLC documentation

10. Assist in Any emergency bedside procedures.
