Job Description

Ab Initio Administrator

Key Responsibilities:

Environment Management:
Install, configure, and maintain Ab Initio components (Co>Operating System, EME, GDE, Control Center).
Manage metadata repositories and operational consoles.
Performance Monitoring & Optimization:
Monitor ETL job performance and system health.
Troubleshoot job failures and optimize workflows.
User Access & Security:
Manage user accounts and access controls.
Implement and maintain security protocols.
Job Scheduling & Automation:
Schedule ETL jobs using Control Center, Autosys, or similar tools.
Develop automation scripts using Shell, Python, or other scripting languages.
Troubleshooting & Support:
Provide L2/L3 support for ETL jobs and platform issues.
Collaborate with developers and data engineers to resolve issues.
Documentation & Compliance:
Maintain technical documentation for configurations, processes, and standards.
Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies.
Cloud & DevOps Integration (Preferred):
Support migration and management of Ab Initio on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Use DevOps tools like Jenkins for CI/CD automation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Technical Expertise:
Strong hands-on experience with Ab Initio tools (GDE, EME, Metadata Hub).
Proficiency in Unix/Linux and shell scripting.
Solid understanding of ETL and data warehousing concepts.
Experience with databases like Oracle, Teradata, PostgreSQL, and SQL.
Cloud & DevOps (Preferred):
Experience with AWS services (EKS, S3, RDS, DynamoDB).
Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
