Online Systems & Backup Specialist

As an experienced Online Systems & Backup Specialist joining our MSP technical support team, your primary focus will be on proactive server and network maintenance to ensure the reliability of our clients" systems and backups. You will utilize industry-leading tools such as ConnectWise PSA, Datto, Barracuda, and Axcient to carry out your responsibilities effectively. Your role will involve conducting various maintenance tasks according to SOP guidelines, including monthly, quarterly, and annual server maintenance. You will also be responsible for performing and documenting test restores of backups on platforms like Datto, Barracuda, or Dropsuite, as well as pushing antivirus updates to unprotected endpoints using ConnectWise Automate. Verifying the health of hypervisors, reviewing event logs, and ensuring critical system and application updates are applied regularly are also key aspects of your responsibilities. Monitoring Datto and Barracuda backups for errors, testing cloud-to-cloud backups, and enforcing backup retention policies are vital tasks related to backup and cloud management that you will handle. Additionally, conducting baseline internet performance tests, reviewing firewall logs and AD security groups, and maintaining firewall configurations will be part of your networking, security, and AD responsibilities. Your role will also involve documenting all maintenance activities, resolutions, backup verifications, and infrastructure updates, as well as opening and managing tickets on the ConnectWise PSA Maintenance Board. The ideal candidate for this position should have at least 3-5 years of experience in system/network maintenance within an MSP environment, hands-on experience with ConnectWise PSA/Automate, Datto, Barracuda, Hyper-V/ESXi, and Dropsuite, and a strong understanding of Active Directory, firewall configurations, and Windows Server environments. Preferred certifications for this role include Datto Certified Specialist, Microsoft Azure or Windows Server Certification, and CompTIA Network+ or Security+. The shift for this position is the night shift, Monday to Friday, with an on-site requirement at our secured operations center in Mohali.
