OIC Developer

Role Overview

The OIC Developer designs, builds, and supports integrations on Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) to connect Oracle ERP Cloud and other enterprise systems. The role configures OIC connections (Trigger, Invoke, Trigger & Invoke), implements core orchestration activities such as Stage File, Local Integration Invoke, Wait, and robust fault handling. The developer will work across SOAP/REST, DB, FTP, and ERP adapters, using FBDI or web service-based approaches as appropriate. Responsibilities include monitoring and debugging integrations, managing migrations across environments, and applying SQL/PLSQL for transformations and data operations.

Required Qualifications

• 3-6 years hands-on experience building integrations on Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
• Strong knowledge of OIC integration patterns and connection roles (Trigger, Invoke, Trigger & Invoke).
• Practical expertise with OIC activities: Stage File (list files, zip, etc.), Local Integration Invoke, Wait, Fault Handler.
• Hands-on with SOAP, REST, DB, FTP, and ERP connections/adapters in OIC.
• Experience with FBDI-based integration or web service-based integration (one is mandatory).
• Experience monitoring, debugging, and migrating OIC components between environments.
• Experience configuring Lookups; exposure to Library configuration, certificate and key management (plus).
• Understanding of large file handling using segment read (plus).
• Experience implementing encryption/decryption within FTP connection and Stage File activity (plus).
• Good working knowledge of SQL and basic PL/SQL.
• Knowledge of BI Publisher (BIP) reports and Report Service (plus).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Exposure to Kafka and OCI Streaming (good to have).
• Oracle Cloud Platform Application Integration certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy integrations on Oracle Integration Cloud.
• Configure and manage OIC connections in Trigger/Invoke roles and build orchestrations using Stage File, Local Integration Invoke, Wait, and Fault activities.
• Implement integrations with SOAP/REST services, databases, FTP/SFTP, and Oracle ERP Cloud.
• Build FBDI-based file integrations and/or web service-based integrations to and from Oracle ERP Cloud.
• Implement robust error handling, retry mechanisms, and logging; set up monitoring, tracking, and business identifiers.
• Migrate integrations, connections, certificates, and lookups across environments (DEV/TEST/PROD) and manage dependencies.
• Create and maintain Lookups, Libraries, certificates/keys, and related security artifacts.
• Handle large files efficiently (segment read) and apply encryption/decryption for secure file transfers.
• Use SQL and basic PL/SQL for queries, transformations, and data validations in integration flows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, document designs, and provide production support and performance tuning.
