Offshore Physician

Key Responsibilities :-

• Providing primary outpatient care, basic emergency medical care on the site to stabilize the patient, limited diagnostic testing, preparation of medical evacuations as well as participation in medical evacuations when deemed feasible by the Company Assistance Centre.
• Administer first aid and treat minor illnesses independently.\ provide medical consultations and determine which cases need further consultation on advice from the MS Medical Director.
• Provide primary emergency care in the more serious cases as directed by the Company Assistance Center while awaiting the arrival of the evacuation team.
• Alternatively, escort the patient to shore and accompany the patient up to the point where the evacuation team arrives.
• Conduct routine checks of food preparation and water supply areas to regulate hygiene practices onsite.
• Conduct first aid and CPR training to the site personnel.
• Assist with site HSE Manager with safety inspections, audits, accident investigations or any other activities concerning safety-programming support.
• Ensure consultation rooms and ER are in appropriate condition, including tidying, disposal of medical and other waste as well as preparing examining couch or bed.
• Check all emergency equipment and ensure that they are in working condition.
• Check all drugs and disposables inventory and ensure that none of these are beyond the expiry dates.
• Documentation of all medical cases and ensure correct and proper storage of medical records.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Deputy Medical Director, MS.

• Required Work Experience:-

•    Experience – Minimum 3 years in a hospital/clinical setting. Experience in primary GP care essential.
•   Previous experience and demonstrated understanding of the logistics surrounding remote sites deployment.

• Required Qualifications

•     MBBS from a medical college certified by Medical Council of India.
•  Valid Registration with Indian Medical Council/State Medical Council.
•       OPITO Approved BOSIET
•       ACLS/BLS and ITLS or ATLS

•      Excellent written and spoken English. Additional language capability is an advantage.
•    National language in country of assignment (if required).
