Odoo Developer

Role & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, customize, and maintain Odoo ERP modules as per business requirements.
  
• Develop backend logic using Python and Odoo ORM; customize frontend views using XML, QWeb, JavaScript, and CSS.
  
• Implement and extend standard Odoo modules such as Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Accounting, HR, CRM, and Manufacturing.
  
• Integrate Odoo with third-party systems using REST APIs, JSON, XML-RPC, and other integration methods.
  
• Optimize application performance, database queries, and server resources using PostgreSQL best practices.
  
• Manage deployments, upgrades, and migrations across development, testing, and production environments.
  
• Troubleshoot issues, fix bugs, and provide ongoing application support.
  
• Perform unit testing, support UAT, and ensure adherence to coding, security, and quality standards.
  
• Collaborate with business analysts, functional consultants, and project managers to deliver scalable ERP solutions.
  
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, code comments, and deployment notes.
  

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline.
  
• 3–7 years of hands-on experience in Odoo development (Odoo v13 or above preferred).
  
• Strong proficiency in Python with solid understanding of Odoo framework and ORM.
  
• Experience with PostgreSQL database design, optimization, and performance tuning.
  
• Good knowledge of XML, QWeb, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for UI customization.
  
• Hands-on experience with Odoo module customization, security rules, and access control.
  
• Exposure to third-party integrations, payment gateways, or external ERP/CRM systems.
  
• Familiarity with Git, Linux environments, and basic DevOps or cloud deployment concepts.
  
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, enterprise environment.
