Occupational Therapist

As an Occupational Therapist, your role will involve engaging children in activities to enhance their eye coordination, attention span, and overall focus. Using a play-based approach, you will guide children through exercises to improve their gross motor skills, fine motor abilities, and sensory integration. Tasks will be designed to enhance hand-eye coordination, and muscle strengthening and balance activities will be provided as necessary. **Key Responsibilities:** - Support children with diverse developmental needs to enhance their cognitive, physical, sensory, and motor abilities, fostering greater self-confidence and a sense of achievement. - Work with children facing sensory processing challenges and attention difficulties to help improve their focus, behavior, and interpersonal skills. - Assess the child's developmental skills in areas such as play, academics, and daily living tasks, comparing them with age-appropriate milestones. - Develop individualized therapy goals and adjust treatment plans continuously based on progress. - Conduct one-on-one therapy sessions tailored to each child's specific needs. - Maintain detailed and updated session records for both individual and group therapy. - Build and maintain collaborative relationships with parents, caregivers, and other professionals involved in the child's development. - Ensure a safe, structured, and child-friendly therapeutic environment. - Participate actively in team discussions, planning sessions, and staff meetings. - Deliver therapy for children with various conditions including autism spectrum disorders, developmental delays, cerebral palsy, behavioral or emotional difficulties, congenital disabilities, and more. - Assist children with significant delays in learning daily routines such as self-care (dressing, grooming, eating, hygiene). - Observe and assess children's behaviors and skills to identify therapy needs. - Encourage improvements in eye contact, sitting tolerance, and engagement through structured activities. - Support hyperactive children by introducing calming strategies and structured routines. - Provide counseling support to both children and their families, offering guidance for managing challenges at home and school.
