Observability Platform Engineer

As an Observability Platform Engineer at Cywarden, your role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable observability solutions within cloud infrastructure. Your expertise in DevOps, cloud services, Kubernetes, and observability tools will be key in ensuring effective monitoring and problem-solving. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure focusing on observability using tools like Terraform, Helm, and Kubernetes YAML configurations - Design and implement robust observability pipelines to monitor distributed systems - Manage and optimize AWS cloud services, including IAM policies, networking, and Kubernetes in production environments - Enhance CI/CD processes with tools such as GitHub Actions, Harness, and ArgoCD - Implement Kubernetes security standards, including PodSecurityPolicies and NetworkPolicies - Design and implement distributed tracing, metrics, and logging using OpenTelemetry for Kubernetes-based services and AWS resources - Customize and manage OpenTelemetry collectors and configurations for scalable observability - Automate workflows using Python and JavaScript/TypeScript, with a potential for Backstage plugin development Qualifications Required: - Experience: - 5+ years in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and observability - 3+ years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes and AWS in production environments - 2+ years with OpenTelemetry and observability tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog) - Skills: - Proficiency in Terraform, Helm, Kubernetes YAML, and AWS services - Strong understanding of Kubernetes security practices - Expertise in distributed tracing, metrics, and logging design using OpenTelemetry - Programming skills in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript for automation and plugin development In addition to the above responsibilities and qualifications, Cywarden offers benefits such as leave encashment, paid time off, and follows a work schedule of Monday to Friday with night and rotational shifts.
