Responsible for the smooth functioning of Nursing Services.
Focuses on patients and attendants physical, psychological and emotional comfort.
Workload management:
- Planning and prioritizing of tasks.
- Plans and evaluates patient workload distribution and management within each designated area. Allocates department resources in line with requirement; day to day demands anticipated and adequate resources assigned.
- Responsible for process implementation and monitoring of staff and workload Information systems.
Time management:
- Deadlines to be consistently met; ensures team adheres to relevant, timely reporting.
- Take systematic, time effective approach to complete allocated work, avoids time wastage.
Nursing Operations:
- Responsible for delivery and evaluation of patient care.
- Responsible for completion and accuracy of Nursing documentation; checking of all documentation.
- Undertakes daily rounds of all patients, addresses and resolves issues at the earliest.
- Participates in Needs analysis for clinical requirements (material and personnel)
- Monitors clinical and resource management issues.
- Responsible for the following:
- Provide timely reports to management on any issue related to patient care and employee welfare.
- Ensures data transparency of all audit findings; ensures accuracy of all data and reporting.
- Participates in technical and non-technical meetings, training and shares information with peers and subordinates for their benefit.
- Conduct regular meetings with Nursing team at different levels to ensure Nursing clinical and service delivery standards are maintained. Nursing team is updated with all relevant information and developments.
- Manages the performance of the team ensures standards of performance are monitored

- Capex & Op-ex budgeting – projecting operational costs, equipment and manpower requirements.

- Has regular interactions with Clinicians & Head Medical Services to discuss better patient care.

- Aware of NABH & Nursing Excellence standards and ensures implementation.
- Contributes to the improvement of standards; participates in policy and protocol reviews.
