Job Description

Role Objective:

Responsible for the functioning of the Nursing department. Nursing Manager must display leadership, management, and communication skills, responsible for managing, supervising, and assisting nursing staff in providing administrative support and patient care. While daily goals must be met, they should also be flexible and be able to prioritize and adapt during emergencies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Clinical

  • Responsible for implementing and monitoring the care plan created by the CMO
  • Overseeing the functioning of the Nursing department
  • To handle with care and with knowledge all gadgets used in patient care department.
  • To carefully follow the infection control practices and ensure the staff adhere to the same.
  • To maintain records of all types of procedures, incidents, training modules monthly reports, and the day-to-day happenings of the events.
  • To perform patient and family education
  • To maintain weekly/monthly reports as instructed by the management
  • To be aware of NABH standards and implement the same.

Administrative

  • Educate the staff and training them according to their knowledge and enhance their skills in practical work situation.
  • Maintain complete stock of Linen, medicines, and other consumables.
  • Regular stock check of the nursing inventory.
  • Raise Indent of stock as and when required and coordinate with Centre Manager for approval and ordering.
  • Address any errors when necessary and takes appropriate action.
  • Schedule duty roster to ensure proper allocation of staff.
  • Maintain attendance and leave record of all staff
  • Continuous Induction & orientation, on-the-job training, and monitoring of the staffs performance.
  • Coordinate with all departments as and when required.
  • Assisting in the hiring of new staff as and when required.
  • Ensure that rooms are always ready for any new admissions and cleaning of rooms post-discharge.
  • To ensure regular updation of notes in HIS.
  • Ensuring correct sample collection for lab test and diagnostics test preparation, as CMO prescribes.
  • Coordinate for biomedical Waste management.
