NPD Purchase Executive

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchaser to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the NPD procurement process, ensuring that all materials and supplies are acquired efficiently and cost-effectively . This position requires strong negotiation skills, vendor development and familiarity with supply chain systems, including Oracle EBS and SAP, to optimise our purchasing strategies.

Duties

• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure the best pricing and quality of goods.
• Negotiate contracts and terms with vendors to secure advantageous agreements.
• Monitor inventory levels and forecast future purchasing needs based on sales trends and production requirements.
• Collaborate with logistics teams to coordinate the timely delivery of goods.
• Utilise Oracle EBS and SAP systems for tracking purchases, managing supplier data, and generating reports.
• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding procurement processes.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably within a supply chain environment.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Familiarity with Oracle EBS, SAP, or similar procurement systems is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• A degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is an advantage but not essential.
