Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchaser to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the NPD procurement process, ensuring that all materials and supplies are acquired efficiently and cost-effectively . This position requires strong negotiation skills, vendor development and familiarity with supply chain systems, including Oracle EBS and SAP, to optimise our purchasing strategies. Duties Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure the best pricing and quality of goods. Negotiate contracts and terms with vendors to secure advantageous agreements. Monitor inventory levels and forecast future purchasing needs based on sales trends and production requirements. Collaborate with logistics teams to coordinate the timely delivery of goods. Utilise Oracle EBS and SAP systems for tracking purchases, managing supplier data, and generating reports. Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding procurement processes. Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance metrics. Qualifications Proven experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably within a supply chain environment. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Familiarity with Oracle EBS, SAP, or similar procurement systems is highly desirable. Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated. Strong organisational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively. A degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is an advantage but not essential.
