Nextjs Developer + sitecore CMS

Role & responsibilities

This role focuses on integrating Next.js components with the Sitecore Layout Service and consuming content delivered via Sitecore's headless APIs.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement presentation components in Next.js and React that consume content via the Sitecore Layout Service. Work closely with Sitecore developers to ensure the data structure (fields, components) provided by Sitecore's APIs is efficiently mapped and consumed by the Next.js application. Utilize and configure the Sitecore JSS SDK within the Next.js application framework. Ensure that the Next.js application correctly handles different rendering modes required by Sitecore (e.g., connected mode, disconnected mode, deployment to Vercelsimilar). Implement personalized and dynamic content rendering based on data received from Sitecore Context and Tracking APIs. Address frontend performance issues specific to data fetching from a headless CMS environment. Required Skills Qualifications 3 years of frontend experience, with 1 year using Next.js. Strong practical experience with Sitecore JSS (JavaScript Services) or similar Sitecore Headless approaches.

Proven ability to integrate frontend applications with REST APIs, particularly the Sitecore Layout Service and Content Delivery APIs. Proficiency in TypeScript and modern React concepts (Hooks, Context). Familiarity with Sitecore content architecture concepts (Templates, Renderings, Placeholder Settings) from a frontend consumption perspective. Experience with deployment strategies for a Next.js application integrated with Sitecore, such as Vercel or Netlify.
