News Reporter intership

About the Role:

We are looking for a passionate and motivated News Reporter Intern to join our team. This internship offers hands-on experience in journalism, reporting, and media production. The intern will be responsible for researching, writing, and reporting news stories across various platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Research and gather newsworthy stories, leads, and updates.
• Conduct interviews with key sources, officials, and eyewitnesses.
• Write, edit, and proofread news articles for publication.
• Cover live events, press conferences, and community happenings.
• Collaborate with editors and senior reporters to develop engaging content.
• Utilize social media for news reporting and audience engagement.
• Ensure accuracy, fairness, and ethical journalism standards.
• Assist in video production and multimedia storytelling (if applicable).

Requirements:

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field.
• Strong writing, research, and investigative skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interviewing skills.
• Basic knowledge of photography and video editing is a plus.
• Familiarity with digital journalism tools and social media platforms.
• Passion for news, storytelling, and current affairs.
