Role Overview: As a New Product Development (NPD) Executive/Manager in the confectionery industry, your main responsibility will be to plan, develop, and launch innovative confectionery products by collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will ensure product quality, cost effectiveness, regulatory compliance, and timely commercialization in line with market trends and business objectives. Key Responsibilities: - Develop new confectionery products such as chocolates, candies, toffees, gums, and bakery confectionery from concept to commercialization. - Conduct trials, pilot batches, and scale-up production with the production team. - Enhance existing products in terms of taste, texture, shelf life, cost, and packaging. - Study market trends, consumer preferences, and competitor products to propose innovative ideas aligned with the brand and business strategy. - Ensure products meet FSSAI, food safety, and internal quality standards by coordinating with QA/QC for testing, validation, and documentation. - Conduct cost analysis for new products, suggest cost optimization opportunities, and work closely with procurement for ingredient sourcing. - Collaborate with Production, Quality, Marketing, Procurement, and Packaging teams for successful cross-functional coordination. - Prepare NPD reports, trial reports, BOMs, and launch documentation, and track project timelines for on-time delivery. Qualification Required: - Education: B.Sc/M.Sc in Food Technology/Food Science/Chemistry or equivalent. - Experience: - Executive: 2-4 years - Manager: 5-8 years (Experience in confectionery or FMCG food industry preferred) - Skills & Competencies: - Strong knowledge of confectionery formulations and processing. - Understanding of food safety regulations (FSSAI, GMP, HACCP). - Analytical, problem-solving, and innovation mindset. - Good coordination and communication skills. - Hands-on experience in trials and production support.
