New Product Development Manager

As the New Product Development Manager at Contraband, you will play a crucial role in leading end-to-end innovation for a fast-growing D2C beauty brand that is rewriting the rules of modern perfumery. Your responsibilities will encompass fragrance development, packaging and design, vendor and supply chain leadership, compliance and documentation, as well as project and launch management. In fragrance development, you will craft olfactive briefs that embody Contraband's unique voice and collaborate with top fragrance houses to create unforgettable scents. You will be tasked with evaluating and refining various fragrance formats such as EDPs, mists, oils, and discovery sets. Your role will also involve leading packaging development with a focus on modern, tactile, and premium design. Working closely with design and production teams, you will ensure that ideas are translated beautifully and feasibly onto the shelf. Managing vendors for fragrance oils, components, and packaging will be a key aspect of your responsibilities. You will be responsible for sourcing and overseeing these vendors to ensure that timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met without compromise. Compliance and documentation will also fall under your purview, where you will manage regulatory requirements such as IFRA, SDS, labeling, LM compliance, and customs regulations. Collaboration with legal teams will be essential to ensure full compliance across global SKUs. In project and launch management, you will oversee the entire NPD process from concept to launch. Alignment with marketing, operations, and e-commerce teams will be crucial to guarantee a flawless go-to-market strategy. The ideal candidate for this role would have 5-10 years of experience in NPD, preferably in fine fragrance, beauty, or lifestyle D2C sectors. A strong knowledge of olfactive families, fragrance evaluation, and market trends is highly desirable. You should be comfortable working in agile, entrepreneurial environments and be passionate about storytelling, aesthetic detail, and delivering a premium consumer experience. A solid understanding of regulatory frameworks and a background in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Product Development, or Business would be advantageous, with a preference for a Master's degree.,
